New Master of Data Science degree to foster the jobs of the future.

Bringing together industry representatives and experts, the University of Newcastle is celebrating the launch of its new online Master of Data Science degree at a public event on Monday.

With the advancement of data science and its Australian workforce set to increase by around 38,000 people over the next four years, the new online degree offering complements growing industry demand. 

Industry speakers from Qantas, Defence Science and Technology Group, HMRI, CSIRO, and Telstra’s Chief Data Architect, Shane Dwyer, will share valuable insights on what a career in data science looks like.  

Also speaking at the launch is University of Newcastle’s Program Convenor of Master of Data Science, Professor Ricardo Campello.

Held at the University’s Industry Development Centre Foyer at Callaghan campus, Newcastle, the free event is on Monday 22 July at 5.30pm – 7.30pm. Register via eventbrite.

Master of Data Science is a postgraduate program delivered 100 per cent online, commencing Semester 2, 2019.
