Cup of tea anyone?

Filed under News ~ by Press on  15 Aug 2013

To celebrate History Week 2013 Singleton Public Library staff, in partnership with Singleton Historical Society & Museum Inc., will exhibit “teapots through the ages.”

The exhibition depicts the variety and beauty of teapots and the importance they play in our daily lives.  Who could imagine facing the morning without a fortifying cup of tea, be it black, white, green, herbal or even fruity?

Library Coordinator Alex Mills says the exhibition is a tribute to our heritage and to the consoling warmth of a cuppa.

The exhibition will run from 9 to 27 September during library hours.

If anyone in the community has a special teapot to share please contact Information Services Librarian Sharon Muir on 02 6578 7500.  All loans will be safely secured in a locked cabinet.
