Acting Workshops for Students

Years 5 and 6 student actors from Hunter and Central Coast learn from professionals this month in a series of drama workshops.

The Regional creative arts initiative involves industry workers and experts working with groups of students on all aspects of drama including writing, characterisation, voice work and stagecraft.

Each series of workshops concludes with a performance for parents and community members. Up to a hundred students take part in each series with people from industry bodies such as Tantrum Theatre.

The first two days of each series run 9am-3pm, the final performance days 9am – c.5-6pm.

Tickets at the door from 3.15pm

Aug 1–3: CC Youth Venue, Niagara Park
Aug 7–9: Baptist Tabernacle and St Andrew’s Church, Newcastle
Aug 14– 16: Maitland Town Hall
