Maitland Pre-election Seminars

Maitland City Council holds two pre-election seminars on Thursday in Maitland Town Hall’s Heritage Room.

The first seminar at 5:30pm to 7pm on Thursday 2 August 2012 covers nominated and prospective candidates, roles and responsibilities of Councillors, and general enquiries about the election process.

Prospective candidates have only until 12.00pm, Wednesday 8 August to nominate for the election.

The second seminar on Wednesday 15 August, is aimed at nominated candidates and will provide further information about what they should expect during the election process and what will be expected of them if their nomination succeeds.

Venue: Heritage Room, Maitland Town Hall, High Street, Maitland

Attendance at the seminar is free. People wishing to attend can register by contacting the Maitland City Council Executive Office on 4934 9711.
