The industry Oscars for heritage conservation, tourism and education, the EnergyAustralia National Trust Heritage Awards offer a unique opportunity to showcase individuals, organisations, government departments and community groups who have completed a project that promotes the conservation of Australia’s environmental, built or cultural heritage.
Now in its 17th year, the EnergyAustralia National Trust Heritage Awards continue to set an industry benchmark to winners and entrants alike, as well as to provide recognition amongst industry peers of excellence within the field of heritage conservation.
William Holmes á Court, Acting Executive Director of the National Trust said:

We received an outstanding number of entries last year, and are expecting the same level of interest in the awards this year. These awards demonstrate an understanding and commitment to one of Australia’s greatest gifts to our future generations – our precious heritage”.
Last year’s award winners included:
- Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority for conservation of the Mariner’s Church, 100 George St
- NSW Migration Heritage Centre for “Objects Through Time” – an on-line exhibition and a virtual place of heritage research showcasing significant objects and collections and places that tell the story of NSW migration history
- Historic Houses Trust for “Lost Gardens of Sydney” written by Colleen Morris which explored the rise and rise fall of a selection of Sydney gardens and garden styles
The awards cover categories in conservation of built, landscape and maritime heritage, cultural heritage, tourism, education and development.
